This session will focus on instruction in Long Life Qigong, Tai Chi component practices and Dragon & Tiger Medical Qigong.
Qigong is one of the most powerful self-healing traditions developed in human history. Those who use Qigong faithfully tend to need less medication, less acupuncture and heal faster. The primary mechanism that is activated by one’s practice of Qigong is a spontaneous balancing and enhancing of the natural healing resources in the human system. Over thousands of years, millions of people have received the benefit of these gentle practices, believing that improving the flow and function of the chi (life force energy) reverses the effects of aging and empowers you to reclaim health and joy in your life.
Dragon & Tiger Qigong is a 1500 year old form of medical qigong comprised of seven movements that can quickly give practitioners a recognizable feeling of qi in their bodies. Similar to acupuncture, Dragon & Tiger uses the hands and simple body movements to stimulate and balance qi flow along specific points and channels throughout the body. Dragon & Tiger Qigong is one of the forms taught in our Qigong for Healers program.

Tai Chi Chuan translates as “Supreme Ultimate Boxing.” Practicing Tai Chi Chuan builds health and well being in many profound ways, including: vitality, meditative focus, inner peace, flexibility, resilience of mind and body, internal power and joy in life! Because Tai Chi deeply relaxes and releases the nervous system, it is the perfect remedy for stress and stress-related disease. Tai Chi Chuan and Qigong movements powerfully increase the circulation and nutritive flow of blood, fluid and energy to all the connective tissues, increasing tone, elasticity, flexibility, and bone, joint and organ health!
Daily practice of the component practices and forms taught in this class will promote the unobstructed flow of qi (vital energy) and stimulate the internal hydraulic systems of the body. These exercises will also slow the aging process by stimulating the natural healing functions of the body, calm the mind and central nervous system, strengthen the body, tone and vitalize the internal organs, loosen the joints, increase energy, improve balance and enliven the spirit.
Practicing Tai Chi and Qigong is highly beneficial as a means of maintaining optimal health and healing from injury or illness. It is a great complement to your other sport and life activities.
