Saturdays, January 7 - March 31, 2012

Out of the mists of time, from ancient China, comes one of the most comprehensive systems of Qigong ever taught. . .

Primordial Qigong is a profoundly beautiful and powerful system of health and wellness developed by Chang San Feng (the creator of Tai Chi Chuan) during the 13th Century.  Primordial Qigong encompasses all of the primary aspects of Taoist philosophy: the concepts of yin and yang, the Taoist trinity (heaven, earth and man), the Five Element theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the I Ching, the Bagua and the mystical aspects of numbers.

Primordial Qigong harmonizes and strengthens the flows in your body, regulates all internal systems and brings you to optimum health, wellness and internal power.

Tai Chi Chuan translates as “Supreme Ultimate Boxing." The Supreme Ultimate refers to the Tao (Dao), the framework within which Yin and Yang manifest in nature. Tao is the Path or the Way. Tai Chi Chuan is a profound martial and healing art, and Guang Ping Yang Tai Chi Chuan is a rare and powerful form of self-defense and internal energy cultivation.

Practicing Tai Chi Chuan builds health, vitality, joy, meditative focus, flexibility, resilience and internal power. Because Tai Chi deeply relaxes and releases the nervous system, it is the perfect remedy for stress and stress-related disease. Tai Chi Chuan and Qigong movements powerfully increase the circulation and nutritive flow of blood, fluid and energy to all the connective tissues, increasing tone, elasticity, flexibility, and bone, joint and organ health!

Some of the many benefits of practicing Primordial Qigong and Tai Chi Chuan:
  • Reverses the effects of aging
  • Improves the flow and function of the chi (life force energy)
  • Calms and regulates the central nervous system
  • Increases vitality
  • Builds strength and flexibility
  • Tones the internal organs
  • Stills the mind and opens the heart
  • Lowers high blood pressure
  • Improves immunity, balance, circulation and physical coordination
  • Deepens intuition and spiritual connection
  • Increases healing power
  • Reclaims health and joy in life!
Appropriate for any age or fitness level - beginners are welcome!

Fee: $90.00 per month

Qigong is one of the most powerful self-healing traditions developed in human history.  Those who use Qigong faithfully tend to need less medication, less acupuncture and heal faster.  The primary mechanism that is activated by one's practice of Qigong is a spontaneous balancing and enhancing of the natural healing resources in the human system.  Over thousands of years, millions of people have received the benefit of these practices, believing that improving the flow and function of the qi (chi) reverses the effects of aging and empowers you to reclaim health and joy in your life.

The Primordial Qigong Intensives will cover:

Primordial Qigong -- A profoundly beautiful and powerful system of health and wellness developed by Chang San Feng (the creator of Tai Chi Chuan) during the 13th Century. Primordial Qigong is a three dimensional physical mandala encompassing all of the primary aspects of Taoist philosophy: the concepts of Yin and Yang, the Taoist trinity (heaven, earth and man), the Five Element theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the I Ching, the Bagua and the mystical aspects of numbers. The Primordial Qigong form is relatively simple to learn, and yet—like Tai Chi Chuan—the refinements and investigations can last a lifetime.

Practicing this form of qigong harmonizes and strengthens the flows of chi in the body, releases stress, regulates all internal systems and brings you to optimum health, wellness and internal power. In addition, practicing Primordial Qigong stills the mind, opens the heart, develops intuition and the ability to see into the unknown, and increases your joy in life!

Master Zhu Hui transmitted this system to our teacher, Sifu Donald Rubbo, and told him that practicing Primordial Qigong will "turn back the hands of time.” During one of the teachings, Sifu Rubbo asked Master Zhu, "What are the benefits one might receive from practicing the Primordial Qigong?" Master Zhu replied, "In my personal experience, I have developed the capability to see what ails you. But not only that, I have cultivated the wisdom and ability to heal you." (from the Primordial Qigong ebook)

Some of the many benefits of practicing Primordial Qigong include:
  • Reverses the effects of aging
  • Improves the flow and function of the chi (life force energy)
  • Calms and regulates the central nervous system
  • Increases vitality
  • Stills the mind and opens the heart
  • Lowers high blood pressure
  • Improves immunity, balance, circulation, physical coordination and flexibility
  • Deepens intuition and spiritual connection
  • Increases healing power
  • Reclaims health and joy in life!
Primordial Qigong Level 1 -- The physical form and some of the foundational energetics and philosophy.

Primordial Qigong Level 2 -- Neigong components and form refinements to infuse your form with internal power for vibrant good health. Pre-requisite: Primordial Qigong Level 1 or equivalent.

Long Life Exercises -- based on Grandmaster Kuo Lien Ying's comprehensive system of warm-ups. Daily practice of these Qigong exercises promotes the unobstructed flow of chi and stimulates the internal hydraulic system of the body. These exercises will also slow the aging process by stimulating the natural healing functions of the body, calm the mind, strengthen the internal organs, loosen the joints, increase energy, enliven the spirit, and balance and center the internal system.

In addition to Primordial Qigong and the Long Life Exercises, you will also learn to:
  • Purify and swiftly restore your energy between client appointments
  • Generate an internal and external atmosphere of love, gratitude, joy and peace
  • Relax, release and positively influence your body, mind and spirit through deep breathing practices
  • Cultivate a felt sense of the core of your life force energy (Lower Tantian also known as The Sea of Chi)
  • Create greater sensitivity in your hands—highly beneficial for healers, musicians, artists
  • Safely strengthen the flow and quality of chi through your body, mind and spirit
  • Maintain a consistent, harmonious flow of vitality and healing chi

June 23 & 24, 2012

Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Primordial Qigong form in this stunning outdoor setting, and welcome a limitless flow of joy and harmony into your life!

In this retreat you will learn Neigung (internal power) components for health and vitality within the context of the Primordial Qigong form, including:

  • Inner and Outer Alignments – Build structural integrity, balance and internal power.
  • Opening and Closing (also known as Pulsing) – The process of opening (expanding) and closing (condensing) energy, is a natural phenomenon that occurs in all living organisms throughout the macro and micro universe, including the universe of a human being. Opening and Closing entails a gentle, rhythmic process of pulsing energy in the joints of the body (beginning stage); this pulsing positively stimulates and purifies the interstitial and synovial fluids within the soft tissues and joints. Learning this process will help you over time to release layers of gross and subtle tension and will create improved resilience and health--restoring harmony and integrated wholeness to your body, mind and spirit, as well as within your Tai Chi and Qigong forms.
  • Embodying the Five Elements – The creative process of bringing balance to the Five Elements within your body, mind, emotions, energy and spirit.
  • The Practice of Limitlessness – The power of your intention to release old habits and clear the path for achieving your personal goals and living your authentic nature.
These refinements will improve the flow and function of your chi, resulting in greater health, resilience and well-being, and they will bring more joy, harmony and peace of mind to your practice and all your life activities.
